The Story Behind PAF: Forged in Effort

The Spark

It all started on the field, where heart rates explode, where every breath becomes a battle.

As a high-level athlete, I spent years looking for every detail to optimize my performance, from elite soccer to track cycling. But for me, the challenge was twofold: I had to deal with major chronic sinusitis problems. To try to resolve the situation, I had to undergo nasal surgery. Unfortunately, the post-operation brought its own set of complications, leaving me with a severe deviated septum and a nostril constantly 100% blocked.

Trying to perform at an elite level breathing through only one nostril is like trying to race a car with a completely clogged air filter. That's when I started to take a closer look at mechanical nasal optimization. The realization was immediate: forcibly opening my airways completely changed my reality, both in training and in my daily life.

The problem? The strips found in pharmacies were never designed for performance. Intended for nighttime snoring, they severely lack the tensile strength to open a nostril blocked by a structural deviation, and they peel off at the slightest drop of sweat during intense exertion.

It was facing this wall that the idea of PAF was born.
